What is your style?
I’m a natural light, true to colour, lifestyle photographer. What this means to me is, instead of taking photos of you all looking picture-perfect, smiling directly at the camera, I will guide you in more natural posing to capture the genuine love, emotion and connection between you and your loved ones. Capturing the real you in a meaningful way - that is what I'm all about!
What makes you different?
The most simple answer is that I LOVE what I do! I get to capture precious, beautiful, messy and REAL moments that are memories and milestones in your life - it's truly an honour. I do my best to make your session as enjoyable and relaxed as possible.
What time do sessions take place?
For indoor sessions, the time is pretty flexible. I always like to suggest a morning time as babies/young kids are usually a bit more relaxed and happy in the mornings. But if you prefer afternoons, then hey, let’s make it an afternoon!
For outdoor sessions, I recommend these take place during golden hour, which is the time of day just after sunrise or just before sunset - where the light is pretty magical! The time of this changes quite a lot depending on the season, and in summer, this can make the start times either really early in the morning or much later in the evening. For families with small kiddos, I know that can be tough to manage so, if that time of day doesn't work for you, we can absolutely make another time work!
Do you travel?
Absolutely! Anything further than 1 hour from my home base will require a travel fee.
Where are you based?
Currently based out of Watford, Ontario. Servicing the Southwestern Ontario area.
What should we wear?
Neutral colours photograph the best! If you're stuck for ideas, just reach out and ask, I do have a style guide I can share with you!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING A SESSION WITH YOU?
Expect to have fun! For couples, this is just a date night that I'm third wheeling! Expect to laugh, cuddle, kiss, play with one another! Forget about telling your kids to behave themselves and cooperate, forget about trying to force them to smile and look at the camera! Let them explore, play, jump and be silly – embrace the chaos and the crazy WITH THEM and lets capture moments that you will look back on that will make you smile, laugh and cry!
DO YOU OFFER POSED NEWBORN SESSIONS? DO YOU BRING PROPS ALONG?
I don’t do posed newborn sessions and I don’t bring props. My focus is on capturing what unfolds naturally in front of me. I am absolutely more than happy to include any special mementos you have for your little one that are important to you and your family.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER ISn't looking great?
There’s always a chance we’ll get a rainy forecast, no matter if you book your session in winter or summer! If it is raining, we will reschedule your session. If the forecast looks wet, we can either make the call the night before, or play it by ear and wait til morning. I’ll be in contact in the days leading up to the session to chat about our options.
